Discovery Sport Newbie Idiot - Go Easy: Spec Questions

Hello everyone

I took delivery last night of a 2018 Disco Sport TD4 HSE and I have a bunch of questions that I'll just get into. Apologies in advance - if ignorance on the subject of Land Rovers annoys you, you should check out now

1) I am unsure what Trim I have. The back of the car says HSE but I have since read about an HSE Lux and when people discuss these things it seems that I have some things that are only available on the LUX, but don't have other things the Lux should have.

Things I have:
Glass Roof
20" black chrome wheels
All black chrome around the car
Black leather interior
Keyless entry

Things I don't (seem to) have
Opening the boot with a foot gesture
Split View screen
Watch TV

2) Based on some of the above - should I have split view? if so how do you activate it?
3) Should I have gesture boot opening?

Some more general questions not specific to my model

1) Can you get aftermarket fold down tray tables for the kids in the back? Any links?
2) The spare key I got with the car is falling to bits - any good (cheap) places to get a new key?

Probably I have more but if you made it this far I am very very grateful.

Oh one last one, what does the TD4 relate to in my model spec?

There were so many options that could be added to the car on purchase, it almost makes the badges a joke these days.

Yours is also a bit new for most of us.
There are also many features than can be turned on/off with diagnostics, so dont mean you don't have it.

I dont know this may have to be an option for the screen. ours is in the settings in the TV bit its the 2 boxes. both can watch in "P" but only passenger in "D"

I would try a trip to your local LR dealer and ask them to pull the build spec for your VIN # and then use that to work your way through the owners handbook.

FFRR = Full Fat Range Rover, which isn't what you have if you have a Discovery Sport.
There aren't than many DS owners on here, mostly because owners of such vehicles don't need to ask about them on a forum, so it's good to have you here.
The DS also has more in common with the Freelander 2 or RR Evoque than a Discovery of old, so few Disco owners will know much about them.

For build information, put the VIN in this website: https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-lookup/

Select Land Rover then put your VIN in the box provided and click search. It'll return the full build spec for you vehicle as you go down the page.

Please guys stop referring to it as "fat" just cos its the best & largest in the range.

I assumed the Full Fat reference is to its equivalent to full cream milk, not fat as in overweight.

I had a DS HSE Lux - there were toys I hadn’t even realised were fitted at he point of sale. Great motor tbh.

Thanks for that link but it doesn’t give me any build details. It just does a lookup for the basic details about the (make / model etc) and then tries to sell me a detailed history report, which I already paid for from totalcarcheck.com.

Unless of course I’m missing something?

It should do.
Try keying your complete VIN at the end of the link address, after the forward slash. This is how mine is saved as a bookmark, I simply copied the whole address and removed my VIN (not much help to you) from the pasted link.

Maybe LR have started restricting who they release VIN build data too.
For every vehicle I've ever entered into vindecoderz it gives a full list of standard and optional equipment fitted.
Looks like you're going to have to pay for the information you want.
