Hello,

Yesterday, aged 40, I bought my first ever car. It is a 3.9liter Vogue SE Classic Range Rover 1994. It is the only car I ever really wanted and so far I am delighted with it. It is LPG converted. I have a few random questions and would really appreciate it if anybody could help:

(1) The car is petrol/LPG, but there is only one petrol gauge. When it is running on LPG, how do I know how much gas there is left?

(2) I have had a few problems opening the bonnet. I pulled the lever, left of the fascia, but cannot find the security catch on the right hand side of the bonnet

(3) The car is in good condition with FSH over the last 12 years, but the suspension is a little low on the back, left hand side. Should I be concerned about this?

(4) Can anybody recommend a Land Rover garage who could service the car in the Cambridge region?

Many thanks.

Welcome :)

1) When driving you don't know how much is in the tank with the older systems.
there is a gauge on the tank if you remove the metal cover. You can fit and after market light system, but they can be very inaccurate anyway.

2) It's there, but mine doesn't work anyway. Have a peek with a torch. It may be stiff too.

3)They sag after a while and it's normal after this length of time. Fit heavy duty or Police Spec springs. The LPG tank adds a fair bit of weight

4) Sorry, don't know.

Post further questions in the Rangie thread.
