Quite like... The sleeker profile should help with aerodynamics and fuelconsumption. Not that youd be interested in that if you had enough money to buy one in the first place. Be interesting to see the engine line up...

Either way still going to be as unreliable as its predecessors plagued with electric problems and stupid but expensive sensor malfunctions. As much as i love them Reliability and "posh spice-ism" tarnishes the brand. Brought by financial types who will never take them off road, never service them, never clean them, park them on the m25, thrash the hell out of them and get rid when the hp is up. Floods the used markets with duffers for the real enthusiasts.

Personally I'm not keen,

Can't help but feel Landrover are loosing what made them great with releases like this and the evoque!

The strong looks and lines that the p38 and its successors evolved from the classic have gone, what a shame:frown:

This is now got no more visual appeal than that of a Nissan Juke or any other generic 4x4 :boxing: talk!

Starting to look very Japanese. Which is a real shame, the classic lines have all but gone. I'll stick with me P38 for a long while yet me thinks!

Losing 420KGs is a fantastic achievement, that fact attracts me to the car alone! I wonder if the new Range Rover is a jacked up Jag XJ in the same way the L322 was in many ways a 7 series on stilts?

420Kg weight reduction is impressive.

I agree with data, much better looking than the Evoque.

I may consider one in 17 years time :)

Cheers,

Jerry

I'm with Jerry. Maybe not 17 years, but if it's anything like the current 4.4 diesel (had a spin in one last week - £75,000 ), it will be an amazing vehicle.

Not too bothered what a car looks like to an extent. I'm not looking at it when I'm inside and it has two too many wheels to be truly pretty.

Hats off to the British (English?) engineers for producing such an excellent machine.

sadly, theres more money aiming at the "chelsea tractor" city rich types, than country folk, which is they they all head this way, but why oh why cant they keep 1 on the original concept they dont all need to be the same sort of looking/styled things, even just looking at them bling bling ashley cole puff daddy like wheels, whos going to drive a new one of the anywhere near a bit of mud or a track !

Still......

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Classic was a Design Icon - Timeless
The P38 brought Class and Comfort
The L322 brought it into the 21st centuary with amazing road pressence (I know others thinks its ugly- to me it is the prettiest of the bunch)
The Sport opened a new path to follow - for the younger professional
The Evoque has cheapened the Range Rover brand
The New Full Fat RR - is a total and utter disaster - it will only sell because the 'new' money bunch and wannabes think that having the latest bit of bling from Range Rover/Land Rover is a status symbol - rather than acknowledging andrespecting the Land Rover heritage and the History of the greatest luxury 4x4 for the last 42 years...!!!!

From the photo, it looks no worse or better than the L322 with it's fat arse:rolleyes:
