Yep! just aquired a 98 Freelander. I am in Sweden and my other "car" is a Chevy Z71 step side with a 5.7 liter engine, so I needed something a bit better on fuel. Picked up the Freebie cheap as it was a barely running beast with loads of electrical problems. I understand this is unusual but trust me
24 hours later after playing with a circuit tester and low and behold, it all turned out to be the earth connector to the body behind the rear right trim panel next to the back door hinges. It was not done up and looked a lot like it had never been tightened because the nylon on the nylock nut was not threaded. May help explain why it has had 15 previous owners but has only racked up a total of 84000 km.
Only issue now is the clock doesn't work and someone appears to have run off with my drive shafts and V.coupling.
