Hi there and welcome! I'm just down the road from you in Whitchurch
It's been far too long since i did a green lane! There's plenty in easy reach though

It would be good to get together on afew lanes got to get the disco sorted mechanical wise it's hard atm with the weather we are having to get under it to sort afew thing what have you got?

He can’t go far without water so itl have to be raining :p:D;)

Discos can handle all sorts of Laning and abuse, get yourself a good welder

Welcome too
Nah the water is sorted now!! I've found its best if i leave it in its solid form, it can't leak out then!!

I've got a p38 range rover with an engine that's seen better days. Will probably put a replacement in when/if the weather gets nicer. Until then it's like driving a series, temperature wise

wonder if you’ll find anymore of that gunk?

Hopefully this year will see you sorted, I had same issue with my P38 I replaced the whole cooling system. Luckily it wasn’t the head and the doozle system is so much more user friendly

Nah I've driven it loads now with no issue since i put the broken thermostat back in which means it rarely gets above 60c!! Once when it was freezing it barely got above 50c.. that didn't do the mpg any good. I'll leave it until spring, at least i can get some use from it! And i know it's no good to run an engine cold, but it's already broke

I'd much rather the chassis cause there is a lot of places on the discovery 1s body rot I know that the discovery 2s have rear chassis rot I hope it not to hard to weld a rear half chassis on if and when I will need one does anyone no of any decent rust remover or rust converters that can help it survive.

Yes.
Dinitrol is a favourite.

There’s decades of threads on the issues in the Discovery section. Use the searchbar when in there. If you make a thread with a few snaps of your woes there’s many members that will offer you all kinds of help and advice. Take a gander
