Right had to fit a new head to my td5 (10p). Purged the living shiiiitttt out of it still won't start. Tried easy start wouldn't have it. Checked there is fuel getting to the head still won't start. Help please I am at my wits end

presume youve checked all connectors are coupled, injector loom, crank sensor etc

Yes mate it's at a garage now a guy that does a lot of td5 work is coming to look at it. My head is battered with it soon as it's fixed it's getting sold just pumped the best part of a grand into it to just play games

Had a few 10p engines that take a lot of starting after upsetting the fuel system. Usually quicker to bump them off with another car assuming you know everything is built up correctly

Ok well now it's been sitting in a garage not getting touched so I brought it home. I think it could just need a tow start all the timing is fine it turns like mad but won't fire up. I have had it on a diagnostics and recoded all the injectors in the right order.

when you put the head back on, did you use the correct fuel pressure reg gasket, because the td5 15p gasket blocks the holes on a 10p fuel reg

Had this a few times. Make sure battery 100%. Preferably hook in a second battery too. Then ctank and crank. Eventually you will get a hint of a firing, then will continue firing with help of starter. Will sound very rough to start with then it should smooth out and be fine therafter. That is assuming everything built up ok and you are getting correct fuel pressure.

put your foot flat on the floor and crank with a good battery, these engines injectors are operated by electronics and need to be bled through, foot flat on the floor will prime the injectors. iv seen people change these engines and then try this and it works! hope this helps mate.
