New guy - joined ages ago!

Hi, my first post.

I've wanted a range rover for as long as I can remember. Back at the end of the eighties, I got very close to buying a new Vogue in London.

I've been thinking about getting one for a couple of years now - the reason I joined up here - and have just bought one on ebay. A buddy is going to see it in a few days and hopefully will bring it back for me.

It's a 4.6 (1997) HSE with LPG. It has the usual issues mostly addressed - airbags and pipes have been replaced, timing chain, water and fuel pumps replaced, loads of new parts. Hopefully there's not too much that's going to go wrong.

...and any recommendations for a good independent in South West London or Surrey would be very welcome!

well, the RR is arriving tomorrow. My buddy is going oop norf to pick it up and if it passes inspection, it will be coming back. Can't wait! He's got a list of things to look for from the buyers guide here and elsewhere.

Also, got an excellent insurance deal. Admiral was the same price for comp and 3pf&t and then matched my 14 years no claims discount on my other car.
