New engine air lock help please :)

Hi guys finished fitting my new 4.0lump and it runs wooo hoo only thing is I'm now worried about the airlocks u here about on here so much! So what's best todo? Iv only run engine for a bout 3 min got a prob with oil cooler so sorting that but in that three min the temp gauge moved up a bit but no heater.. Any idears would be a gr8 help want to keep this motor in good nick

pump water in with a hose at the bulk head to the heater, then at the top hose to the rad also in the filler tank. close it all up and run to circulate keeping an eye on the level. take the small pip off the rad to allow air out and also blow down it to clear coolant so air can pass into water tank!

i also raise the exp tank side of the car on a ramp or high kerb!

started it up yesterday to check see if becm was functioning and eas, all ok xcept for engine knackered so thats a bonus. will be transporting to yard nxt sat and hopefully get the engine out and parts ordered ready for big rebuild and then with a bit of luck i can get her back on the road!
