Hi , just recently fitted a passenger side Dunlop airspring as the car had been dropping fully (periodically) on that side. The old spring was 4-5 years old. After replacing this it inflated properly ,but now I notice that both sides start to drop slowly after a couple of days ...If I start it up they come up to normal height and if I put it in raised mode it rises up too,but over a couple of days will again drop slowly on both sides.. (The rhs spring is only about 18 months as are the ride height sensors.) ANY IDEAS where to check next ..

Hi Andrew, Thanks, but 1 bag is new and the other quite new...but then I did disconnect airpipes from the supply at the compressor side, but i did put them back and tightened them up.But I'll check there as well.

air bags are a pain in the ar5e , quickest way and easiest is bubbles , might just be a leaky joint if disturbed them , u b surprised , you think you done them up tight BUUUUT , if it is going up and down as it should i would not overly worried , annoyed yes , just because something is new don't make it good :(

it could happen that you disturbed the o-rings on the pipe fittings at the valves... that's the worst place to deflate the bags....next time if you have a leaky bag just stab tha bastid and leave the pipes at the valves alone

you're right in saying the worst place to deflate them ...I should have thought of that but most of the threads I read instruct u to undo them there...Anyway I went off and bought a cheap O ring set and will go at it tomorrow due to heavy rain today ..... ,replacing the little buggers as thats the likely problem allright . I'm also still a tad higher on the side with the new bag and dont really want to venture near the L.R. Dealer as I don't trust them . So buy another pair of sensors and try them one at a time on that side .What do you think .I'm assuming sensors might deviate slightly ???

If you are going to do any work on the ride height sensors it is VITAL that you disconnect the main car battery before touching the electrical connectors.

Leave the battery disconnected until the sensors are fully installed, then reconnect the battery - or you will regret it !!!!!!!!
