Evening all.

I've got a Becker Traffic Pro in my 2004 HSE. Is there a way I can have the Sat Nav on (and announcing directions) without having to listen to the radio and/or CD?

I suppose I could have the volume controls set up seperately and turn the radio down, but that seems a bit ridiculous. There must be a way of having Nav without radio?

Ta all.

I couldn't get around it on mine either. That said I also didnt want to spend £200 on the update CD for it either so I bought a Garmin with bluetooth for much less ;)

i will get back to you i think it can be done as we have galset it for sat on gal but will get it by tomorrow
mind you my gps mod shut down and i have just got a new head unit

you can't have it do this - the only way round it would be to make a cd with tracks consisting of silence and have that playing.

Drewster is quite right -the Sat-Nav volume is set separately from the radio/cd volume.
If you don't want the radio turn the volume down.

Skynet is right too. £200 every 15 to 18 months for a new set of CDs is a rip off. For that money I bought a Garmin with full European coverage and a lifetimes updates. I get the latest map info every 3 months or so - plus I can take it out of the car when I go walkabout.

The Garmin is easier to use and the info and directions are better anyway - even if the new CDs were free for the Becker I would still use the Garmin. Th Becker evn with new CDs is outdated.

The Becker Kit came as standard on my HSE - I asked if I could have the radio cd basic model without the sat-nav and the 6-disc changer - but no dice.

Just like the 'sun-roof' a waste of time - I've got AC - I think in 6 years I've opened the roof twice.
