My Series 3 Lightweight ground up ongoing rebuild

To bring an end to this part of the thread you can see some notes on the map above. On 01 Jan 03 we came across some guys on top of a small hill with a commanding view south over the desert. We had a discussion with them and it seemed that the land southward was owned by a sheikh somewhere and the view as far as you could see was his. He used it for hunting with eagles and paid these two guys to make sure no-one poached on his land.

We also came across a military post in the middle of nowhere. It was the UN from vague memory. At this stage we were getting closer to the border with Western Sahara; disputed territory occupied and administered by Morocco but also controlled by the self-proclaimed Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.

Here's me having found a well out in the desert near Assa somewhere.
