My P38 Won't Start

Ok - just bought a used starter off fleabay for £20. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake! Perhaps I should have gone new for the sake of £65? Ah well...

Are they tricky to fit?

That you should. Removing the hardest bolt to get at first, is always a good starting point.
 
i take it you have realised there cap head bolts that hold the starter-motor in 10mm i think,just so you dont get siked up to do it then find out
 
They are hex bolts. An Allen key would fit it if you know what I mean. The top one on mine was a real bitch and the RAVE method didnt work worth a ****. I ended up taking the heat shield off the manifold and getting it from the top. Second time I did it was very simple and complete job was done in 40 mins. This is good to know as you will no doubt be replacing the £20 job with a new one next week. :)
