Well, many of you know the unfortunate fate of my last landy...

Well, last night I finally got around to buying a new one, from our very own (lifesaver) dogwood!

Its a 2000 defender 110 station wagon. Things I liked about it:
New Clutch
New Steering
New Rear Discs
New Seatbelts
Exmoor trim highback rear seats
Tubular Bumper
Spots
Rock/tree sliders
Towing Gear
Non-standard stereo system

All in all a great landy!

He also threw in some very nice things, e.g. a spare propshaft with new UJs, a load of spare bulbs and bulb covers, some extra long cables for when I get around to buying a winch and plenty more.

A great guy.

Now today I've ditched work, and gone laning! Unfortunately, having never own a camera, and never taken a picture in my life (you'll see this is true below) I never took any pictures.

However, I've been prompted to go out and buy a camera and get some pics on here asap!

Note the shocking quality of them. Like I said, never taken a picture before. Also note the camera box, which I'd just nipped to tesco to buy.

Compared to the tame nature of my old landy, I've determined the perfect name (I know namings gay) for this landy.

So smurfs and smurfesses, may I reveal to you...

The beast :D

A bit dirty after today. But I love the duct taped in speakers and the new stereo. Also note the camera box....

The high back seats from behind, the load area, three point harness in the middle, and what I like to call....my fcuk up box!

Can anyone tell I'm excited? And sorry for putting them like this instaed of attached, but it wouldn't let me upload to this site.

Now, this landys a big step up for me from the last. This one has character.

The scratches and the dents, I love it all :p

And my favourite part of the day was finding out the reason for the seat covers...the exmoor high backs are a different pattern to the originals, which I think is great!

So I've got a list of things to do, like any respectable landy owner does. However, I doubt I'll get round to all of it.

In the long run...
Fit winch
Fit Roof rack
Make roof tent
Make awning
Get new rear seats to match trim for rest
New cubby box
Load area seats
CB radio
Rear recovery points
Maybe remove the tow bar
Yellow respray (but thinking of not doing this anymore, its got plenty of character at the moment)
Sleeping/storage system

So for the weekend, I have planned...
Good clean out
Make awning
Make sleeping/storage system
Look for roof rack
Sort out rear door and passenger door hinges

I'm gonna have fun with this one.

As I said to my friends, you'll have to speak to the corsa drivers of the world. They seem to have it in for me!

But now I have the beast, next time I see one...I'm running it over!

Saw it for sale over on LRUK, Very nice :D

I think you should change the bumper (I am sorry, but it is fooking ugly!) and fit some proper tyres :D

Went out yesterday, ditched work and went. Got to some very overgrown lanes which the guy I went with wasn't pleased about.

If you remember my passenger from last time we went out. Hes just spent two years re-making a landy. A '93 90 base model and making it look like a Td5 XS model. So when it got scratched to sh1t he wasn't best pleased, but he says he loved every second of it on here.

Nice one mate! Have to get out again soimetime, do some other lanes around the Peaks etc .. ;)

Glad you got it all sorted. :clap2:

Insurance troubles sorted out fine. As did the police. I'm just glad it all sorted itself out.

And definately Paul D. And I think we may have a new greenlaning addict after yesterday to join us...

Ash, I didn't realise it was Dogwoods... lol. makes more sense now..

You'll get some coin if you sell them. A nice set of MTs on steel will sort you right out.
