Alright guys!
First problem of my RR ownership...yay!
So was driving to Devon on friday from cornwall, on a30 at about 60 I hear a pop/bang and then I lose power and the auto box starts hunting for gears. Turbo still whooshes but noise is different, a lot noisier and sounds like a pipe might have come off.
drove back home and took the girlfriends car. Now O need to sort it tomorrow when I am back. Does this sounds like turbo failure or a pipe disconnected? Where the hell should I look?

I had a similar problem

Had a hissing noise for a while, then went on carriage way hit 70mph and then lost power, couldn't go over 30mph and just very loud whooshing noise from engine.

The rubber hose had popped off the outlet of the turbo

Yep just a stupid jubilee clip
Quite common to blow off as they get all oily makes them loosen off

My one that come off was located within the front left hand side of the engine near the radiator
Quite far down, you need to take off air filter and cover to get to it
Even then it's a tight squeeze to get to !

Cheers. Well I hope its this hose, I don't really fancy spending thousands this early on in my ownership! So take the air filter out and peer down there to see if anything has fallen off.
Need to get back in the RR, its no good driving round in this Mito!

Ok, so just got under the car. The intercooler hose has popped off like you all said. When I tried to push the pipe back on and tightened the jubilee club, gave it a rev and it popped off again. Is there some kind of special C clip that holds the pipe on aswell. The pipe has popped off with the metal attachment held onto the rubber pipe.

Maybe jubilee clip is not tightening well ? Did you wipe around the metal bit where the hose pushes onto so that it's not got any slippery oil around it ?

Check that the pipe has not delaminated inside and the intercooler is not blocked. Excess pressure will blow it off.:)

Its bloody well popped off again!
Am I missing something here?

I know the jubilee clip attaches the rubber pipe to the metal sleeve. How does the metal sleeve attach to the intercooler? there are two holes either side of the metal sleeve, does some sort of c-clip fasten it to the intercooler?
Thanks!
