My Adrian Flux/ULR insurance claim woes!

google search will list every company Flux sells for. Rather funny some have gone to other companys and are happy as larry........... But flux sells for them companys also ;)

simple as. i have no issue with the other 59 companies AF broker for only the company that treated the OP so badly and flux for not doing more to resolve the issue.
AF as the broker were happy to take money for providing a service that it seams failed to materialize so wont do business with them
the insurers were paid the same so wont do business with them

you got some silly laws:rolleyes: Here a agent sells insurance for many different company's (think like flux) If you have a claim the agent is contacted and is go between. Most agents sell for several company's. You want cheap insurance, you get cheap coverage. you want good coverage you pay more.

Your insurance is very very cheap in the UK, to say the least. Just trying to figure out how a broker/agent is responsible for a company? They just do the billing and collection of money. You have a choice of which insurance company to use. And surley you know who the good and not so good insurance company's are.

Well in this country OUR law is that whoever takes the money for a product or service, then they are the company responsible for sorting out any issues.if you buy a new car and it goes wrong, then you take it back to the garage you bought it from, not the manufacturer.

Apologies, any of you who wished to know the outcome on this thread, underwriters remained at stalemate for some time, 3rd party refused to budge, refused to pay my garage. Garage refused to compromise on price. In the end I haggled the price of a new chassis' worth and walked away from it after the most stressful claim I've had the displeasure of dealing with. AF offered zero support and the same zero support from underwriters, and the people acting on behalf of the people acting on behalf of AF claim department. Total debacle!
Needless to say won't ever insure through AF or any other brokers again.

Sorry to hear that Pops :(

Happy to see you though :)

That is total crap from Flux and co,i am insured with them and ijust hope i never need to claim through them, not the best resolution for you,but at least you got something out of it,even if it is so little.:(

Wow, just read through this thread and it seems I had a near miss with Flux - I'm now with NFU after reading only good things about them and people having lots of accidents and getting the service they're paying for even though it's a little more expensive. It's £13 a month more in my case whci is F/A really in comparison to the ball ache that you've had Poppy.

I can't understand why/how Flux are still a sponsor though? There are other sponsors and surely the hosting isn't that expensive? It would be interesting to know how much of their customers money Flux were using to sponsor LZ with!

Poppy, I hope the landy is all sorted again now?

How you all been? 😁

Up and down, you know how it is. Missing some old faces, wishing I was missing others :p

Don't know the answers tbh. Many are happy with insurance through AF and no punches are pulled when they get it wrong, sponsoring LZ isn't for the faint-hearted....like Poppys thread here.

It's lost them customers for a fact, I assume they think it evens out. Perhaps it does.

It was lack of support that was main issue, I think the 3rd party assessors were asses and wouldn't budge. But that is where my representatives should have stepped up and work on my behalf but because they've companies subbing the work and it goes down a chain it all amounts to empty promises😡

Lesson learned the hard and headachey way.
Had much support from four very helpful members on here, I wish at the time I'd had more energy to see it through.

3 policies here which won't be renewed and talked my dad out of taking 2 policies with them.

Guess they really don't care about 5 policies though.

Sorry you didn't get a great outcome poppy :(

I have read all of this thoroughly, although my insurance renewal isn`t until due until april 2015,i have decided to avoid Adrian flux as a measure of solidarity with people who have been let down, I am with the co-op by the way.

I think Flux aren't fit to insure! Like the pervious post said I've managed to talk several friends and family out of using them!!

I currently have 4 policies with them but none will be renewed with AF. One of my policies is limited mileage and when I rang up the other week they refused to tell me what my mileage was at the start of the policy over the phone! They are a joke! Sorry you have had such a bad run with them.

I ended up with NFU in the end, and they really try hard to go the extra mile.....so far I think I'll skip an accident to test them out if you don't mind at this stage 😉

my folks have home ins. with nfu and claimed - very quick, helpful and good.

I rung them up for a quote on my D3 but being business owned and having the missus on who was under 25 at the time, they were about £1k more than flux :/

Hopefully now with a 110 and missus off the ins. they'll be a bit happier!

They're not the cheapest I have to admit, two landies is pricey but they've an office up the road and nice bunch in there 😁

Im with the NFU and found them to be very very good to deal with. I got a great deal for the Range Rovers insurance and me being 21 didn't scare them either!!

We've just gone with the co op was with admiral multi car but price was getting ridiculous!
