When I did the sills on my Disco, I removed the mudflaps and the little metal brackets they were attached to (the ones that bolt to the floor). These were rusty so if I refit them, I'd need to make new brackets up (not complicated though).

My question is - are the Disco mudflaps suceptible to damage where they're located as standard? I had another 4x4 before, and eventually I removed them all, well some heavy off roading kinda did that for me. But I'm going to be gentler on this one and not get too severe.

Just wondering who's left them on or off, etc?

Mine had been on from new till the first day i went to a Pay 'n Play .. replaced the pair and a bumper end cap .. ripped off again at Tong about a year later, never bothered with them since .. ;)

If I were to put mudflaps on the rear again, they wouldn't be standard .. ;)

Standard one's are a bit weak, why not get some thicker rubber and make your own? Personally mine are off, lack of them and running AT's does tend to create a wee bit of spray on rainy days though:eek:
