As Ming says he's a vcu expert I wonder whether he can indicate (on a picture) where the drainplug and the fillerplug on a vcu are please ??

I ask this as on the Flemish FL owner site one guy got a quotation for a routine maintenance but they needed to replace the oil in the vcu they said and hence they quoted the price would be 800 Euro (702,88 Gbp), he therefore went to another, official LR dealer, and there that same routine maintenance (without any vcu ****) was done for 250 Euro (219,65 Gbp). Can you imagine an official dealer being lowlife like that to quote such a price with the excuse the vcu oil needed replacement ?? Unbelievable. Also went myself to the dealer today to get the EGR air filter as they call it (filter on the vacuum system) and also the sump plug washer. Have the price of these items from a UK parts shop and have prices as Gbp 0,63 for the washer (I paid here 1,28 Euro which is 1,12 Gbp) and 3,10 Gbp for the air filter ( I paid 5,52 Euro or 4,85 Gbp), as you can see the prices vary considerably, much and much more expensive for us on the continent here.:violent::5bbeatdeadhorse5::5bbeatdeadhorse5:

hee hee - nice one Willo :D

If the difference in price for a couple of filters would be high enough I'd think to order these once a year in the UK. But the problem is that only every 5 years a fuel filter is needed, also as I have a K&N filter no air filter needed, also that EGR air filter only replaced once in almost ten years now, so all by all my order would be for only an oilfilter and a washer for the sump, guess I better stick around here and "bite the bullet"

Err Mr Ming sir did you happen to note down the torque applied and the rotational speed achieved to obtain the 'uggggggg':doh:
It would be a good starting point and take pride of place in MHM's data set.
Was waiting for the dungeon to make another appearance - back to normality again !!! :D:D:D
