Hey chaps,

Need some ideas on how to solve a leak in my landy. Ive been through the Defender Ingress manual and it doesnt mention this particular one.

At the rear, below the left small rear window, theres that large nut n bolt that I assume holds the roof on. Now for some reason it has become a water channel and is causing water to drip into the rear and quite a fast rate. After it rained yesterday I rung out about 2 pints worth of water from this area!

However the other side is bone dry.

Not too sure where the water is getting in from either, anyone got an idea on how to stop it?

Cheers.

If anyone was wondering I found the bastid leak.

Was coming in through the 'seal' between the rear tub & roof. Sealed in all up on the outside with Black Silcone Sealant.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, I did the same as you with some clear sealant but to fix it you need to minimum undo the bolts and use a highlift jack to lift the roof/side off then replace the foam seal. More of a summer job me thinks!
