my freelander 1.8 has a missfire code engine light sometimes come on but not allways had new head gaskit plugs leads and both coil packs.the fuel gauge reads wrong way round could this be anything to do with it cheers for your help.car runs ok.
 
What code are you getting?

Has the fuel gauge always read upside down all the time you have had the car? If the wrong year of sender/pump has been fitted, the gauge can read upside down.
 
ive only just bought the freelander so i dont know if it has all ways done it i have tryed 2 diffrent pumps but the same prob .the engine light came on but left no code the previous code was missfire on 1 ans 3 thanks carl
