My ACE has been a bit "whurrier" than normal lately. Perhaps just the cold weather but thought id change out the fluid in the tank altho the fluid is only a year and a bit old. Surprised to see this. Prob result of full pipework changeout. Still to drive again to see if whurring is reduced.

that colour is normal to change so, IMO it's not about the whole pipework only the one with the atenuator in it
The flexible hose which supplies pressure from the pump to the supply pipe attached to the front cross member is
fitted with an attenuator. The attenuator comprises a bullet shaped valve which is located between two spiral wound
springs held at each end of the flexible hose. This valve operates as a restrictor to damp pressure waves of hydraulic
fluid from the pump, reducing noise and strain on components downstream. The attenuator is integral with the supply
hose and pipe and cannot be serviced separately.

There was a William Whurrier executed at Tyburn for murder, March 7, 1748, and his body hung in chains on Finchley common.

A bit of history that not many know about, even Londoners :)

I had a quick check but hes not under there ;)

that you can hear sat in the car ?ace system should be silent

Ive had slight noise ever since changing pipework. I have always suspected a pipe touching chassis or hard point somewhere but buggered if I can find it. Its definetely from ACE system too ive proven that.

as sierrafery said pressure feed from pump to block has a restrictor about 1/2 way across front member ,has yours still
