my discovery needs rear floor replaced and may be rear cross member.has any body done this job,if so how hard?.the parts are cheap and iam fairly compentent.

I'm thinking about doing mine, maybe when it gets abit warmer!!! There's a link on a thread, if you search the forum for boot floor, I think it was called grotty floor or something along those lines, the link looked pretty useful couple of guys giving a step by step log of how they did there's, and i think they riveted it on.

Hope this is any use to you

Hi i did this on my 300 tdi was fairly simple but mind the brake pipes as they are attached to the crossmembers also you might need to buy some tank straps as mine were rotted through as all the mud and crap collects on the top of the tank, i also made sure it was water tight by useing seam sealer all the way round after i had welded it in place and make sure you attach the new crossmembers to the floor again . I drilled the spot welds out around the outside edge then across the members and used a grinder to clean it all up once the panel was out. hope this helps.
