I know the feeling - got mine coming up in a couple of weeks, so just working through a check list to make sure everything is ok, no doubt for it to break on the day of driving to the test station......

Well she failed. mostly welding on chassis. Time to learn how to weld now. Easy patch job. plus drivers side cill needs welding. quite looking forward to doing the jobs. get a start on it weekend. All inner wings were done last year. there still good. Was thinking once through mot. getting some box section and replacing cills. Seen a few threads and doesn't look impossable. But thats for the summer. Good luck chaps with your MOT's

Bummer, but best thing I bought was my mig welder - love it...

Never welded before in my life, and now made so many things - its great!

When I was doing my checks, poked around in the front under the battery tray and my hand went through! Now all sorted, so better I found it than the MOT man.

I too fancy replacing my sills for box sections, but as you say its a summer job - and last year we never got one....

did a jeep cherokee this morning, a small hole just larger than a 50p in the cill needed welding up, well, until I started looking for good metal and found there was actually no steel left under the nice shiny paint and the whole damn cill was rotten as a disco boot, and some of the floor pan too.

Sounds familiar!!!
