I have a copy of this tool, however I would just like to check sizes as it doesn't have a "quality" feel to this tool, certainly doesn't look like it was made with much care or attention. I have a lot of play when fitted to the camshaft?

here is the "OE" spec

On mine dimension A = 32.50 mm. Dimension B = 63.00 mm. But dimension B means nothing, it is the relationship between dimension A and the flat part of the tool that sits across the head surface that matters. Yours looks like a casting mine is machined from a billet.

Thanks Wammers, thought it was worth checking and 1.3mm out is not as bad as I was expecting as once located this plate has a lot of movement either way

Either you put down the wrong measurement or your calcs are wrong 33.08 mm as stated minus 32.50 mm is 0.58 mm. 33.80 mm minus 32.50 mm is 1.3 mm. Just put a feeler in to make up whatever the dimensional difference is in A. So the tool is snug to the cam.

sorry thought I'd put 33.80 my typo, will fill the gap with feeler blades
