I have spent ages looking for a good quality, low cost loadspace rubber mat. And I think I have found one.

I will be receiving it today and will post photos once in the landy.

The company deals with matting for vans, flooring, well all sorts of stuff. This is what is said about the mat:

A 10mm thin rubber slab with the same ameobic top surface as the M8 and broad grooves on the underside. A long lasting mat for covering slippery, or hard concrete, earth or wood walkways as well as lorry and Pick up floors.

It will need cutting down to fit (its 1.83m x 1.22m (6' x 4')), but then that leaves extra for any mods you have done to your loadspace. And all for £27. The postage is £20 as its a heavy bit of rubber, but it all works out cheaper than britpart and loads cheaper than land rover!

Here is a link to the site: Solid Rubber Mats, Rubber Sheets and Interlocking Rubber Tiles

I thought it might be some use to the community. :)

I have put the mat in the landy, (pics to follow). The good news is, that I had enough rubber to make TWO. Its really easy to cut with a sharp knife. Cut around door hinge and popped straight in!

So message me if you are interested. I am in Telford, so if you wanted to save on postage (that's the killer as they are heavy) then pop by.

So here is the pic of the fitted mat, I am happy with it. I took my carpet out and the rubber down. Not bad for a quarter of the price of most mats. Its nice and thick (again better than the britpart) and looks great. The other side is a rough dotted style, but I like the grooves.
