Hi all,
After reading as many threads on when, how or if to bleed a Freelander clutch I decided to try it the way the majority agreed.
After buying the 06 TD4 commercial with a low clutch pedal, I bought and fitted a new master cylinder which helped but did not repair the low pedal.
Opinions differ on removing master cylinder resevoir cap, I did and found the removal and refitting no probs.
Had a new lever oil can which was washed out with brake fluid ,then filled. A hose of right diameter fitted from oil can to bleeder, open bleeder, pump fluid through watching the resevoir fill to over flowing, catching as much as possible in either rags or container, discoloured fluid cleared. I then tightened bleeder and to my delight my clutch was and two weeks later still is first class.
I was worried about being left with no clutch when I started this job but it worked out well and is still feeling good so as the bishop said to the callgirl
"Pump it and see."

No worries Ulsterfisher good to have another FL on here.

Apparently from what i've read this sorts itself out, not sure how true that is but it can take a couple of weeks of use then suddenly all is as it should be with the pedal at a more usable height.
