The locking nuts are shagged on my 2000 TD5.
I had to replace the nut remover tool as it'd started to split, with a new one and thats a sloppy fit. Just don't fancy messing about with them if I have to put the spare on, with my luck it'd be at night and in the rain.
The alloys are 10 year old and a bit scabby.
should I just replace them with standard alloy wheel nuts?

just get a new set of locking wheel nuts, e bay or halfords, even if they are **** it will be better than you being back on here a few weeks down the line moaning about your alloys getting nicked:rolleyes:

Agree, thieves are always looking out for unlocked alloys, especially if the tyres are good as well.

A new set isn't that expensive, even from a dealer, and there are lots on fleabay.
