Hi

Can anyone tell me the load area length in a utility wagon with the back seats folded forward and up again as tight to the front seats as poss. (So basically what's the max load space I can achieve in a utility?

Thanks

Depending on what rear seats you have fitted, the distance between the back door and the back of the folded seats is between 60" and 65". If you remove the back seats, the max load space is 72"

Pardon my ignorance, what's a utility wagon?.
Same as a station wagon but with 5 seats and no windows at the back.

Ooh, that's just made the utility wagon a whole lot more appealing!!
6' to 6'5"
If I could get 6'3" out of it that would be amazing and just what I would want!
Thank you.

Oh crap...your right! I pretty much read what I wanted to read there!
Thanks. Back to a hard top then.
What's the deal with say if I fitted 2 forward facing seats in the back of a 110 hard top in exactly the same position as a utility wagon (professionally) and say if I informed dvla and insures etc would the price of tax and insurance stay the same?
As a utility is still in the cheaper £250 tax bracket for a post 2007 puma.
Thanks hope that makes sense.

As the basic vehicle is still the same it wouldn't alter the tax bracket. As it's a modification you'd have to notify the insurers.

IIRC, If the fold down seats were for child seats you'd need expensive lock and fold seats and with 2 folding seats side by side there will be no room between them for getting into and out of them.

I read on here a while back that a rule was if you are carrying more people in a car / van than the number of seats stated on your V5 then it is illegal and insurance invalid?!?

That aside, if I was to put in two of those locking foldable forward seats that attach to the wheel arch wouldn't there be a gap in between the two seats (especially if they fold away on to the wheel arch?
Or even if they were just the forward facing second row left and right that fold forward would there still not be a space down the middle to squeeze through to get to seats?

Thanks

Would these measurements be the same in a Station Wagon? I'm thinking of getting one to put a bed in the back for a quick overnight, and would be thinking of arranging to remove the rear seats when I want to do this.

Also, how much width is there above the wheel arches?
