Light bar query

not me. will be getting a light bar soon and if i want to get this one i will have to get a family member in london to get it and forward it on to me as for some reason this company wont ship to anywhere outside mainland uk.

I got one of those from someone who decided not to fit, it came with the loom etc but only the one relay!

Out of interest, and it may be a daft question, why would you want 3?

Mine came pre wired including a hardened sleeve which I ran up by the snorkel.

To be honest seems like a very well made bit of kit as it was all cable tied and waterproofed ready to fit, that's why I questioned the 3 relays.

Not had any issues with it up to now.

Its just as easy to replace a fuse

No.. The fuse has blown for a reason, u will have to find and rectify the fault and then replace the fuse, so your out at night in a location where the extra lamps are very helpful and they fail and no back up other than the head lamps and your LED torch :)
If your doing a new installation than that's the time to have a bit of back up... It' s just up to u which isn't a problem. :)

Much like a lot of owners having only one fob and it fails, then the issues start. But then there r some that have never had a fob problem even though they hold a spare ...just in case.

Discool can I ask a question as I don't know that much about electronics?

If I was to separate my wiring into pairs and add 2 extra fuses and relays but still use the same 12v feed as I don't really want three switches in the cab.

Thanks in advancr

Got the exact same bar and lights, used one 40amp relay took the coil wires from radio to switch underneath then to relays, relay behind glove box along with excess cb radio wire.

4mm tri rated black wire to wire in all lamps in parallel, used bullet connectors to, really good idea for when changing the smashed ones off from off roading of greenlaning :-D

average 12v auto relay is 30A so 30A X 12V =360W each lamp is 55W probably so 3 relays tad overkill.
Could go for 3 lamps per relay and use 20 amp fuse per relay.
One switch can operate both relay coils, no need to for multiple switches :)

You can still have a single switch switching your relays, but if the supply or the switch fails then you will be without lights.
The minimum is two fused 12v -supplies to two switches which will switch two relays 'of suitable rating' each with it's own single fused supply, then out to the three lamps, so four fuses in total.
If you want to run the lamps in pairs the its 3 x 3, three switches and three relays.
It has nothing to do with relay current loads but control ability.
U could use a single relay and switch if u wish, but that takes us back to the start of this thread in what happens if that single circuit fails, anyway it's nice to have a bit of control over you illumination. :D
