Hi, thanks for having us!
"Us" is me and my -74, 88" Series 3. I´m all new to Land Rovers and will probably need all help I can get.. I´ve sort of inherited this car which had been sitting for app 20 years. My goal is to get it on the road again, keep the worn surface, but update under the bonnet, brakes etc. Interior is dirty but ok from what I´ve seen so far. Maybe update to modern/more comfy seats.
The car has been sitting with the wheels burried in the dirt, under a "roof" until we managed to pull it up a couple of weeks ago. Engine was shot and had been since my good friend bought it a long time ago. He aimed to replace it but never got arround to it. I´ve got a Daihatsu 2.8 which was already converted to LR, and hope to get that in place in a couple of weeks. Brakes are frozen, as is the clutch, I´m on to those tasks. The body is decent and I will try to save as much as possible as it is. Chassie has got a lot of surface rust and we will see what the grinder discovers. I´m in denial right now. Up til now it´s been mostly washing, grinding and painting in the engine room, preparing for dropping in the 2.8. I´m really looking forward to resuscitate this lovely lady, time frame "before autumn" (this year). Or so I hope.
Thank you//Car1

Looks like a good un, good luck with it. I wouldnt worry about fitting comfier seats, you won't be in it long enough for it to be an issue. The longest I've sat in mine was about 4 hours waiting for the AA to turn up on the day I bought it.

Thanks for cheering on. I posted in the projects area, just to put some pressure on.
