Legal Spots

Hi

I've got the sidelight bulb on my bumper mounted spots permanantly wired to the dipped beam on my headlights and the main beam on the same spots wired permanantly to the main beam on my headlights. Legaly do these have to be switched, or are they MOT passable permanantly wired in?

As long as the spots only come on with Main Beam then they are legal. Assume you have the spots fed via a separate relay from your main beam too?
