Installed truckman split led headlights before going away so was in a bit of a rush thay have two central led with separate feed without connections which I assume are side lights can these be connected to existing side light why I ask is the cable going to existing from the original loom seems very small diameter by the way if you are driving in France watch it got a speed ticket for doing three miles over.

I nearly passed out reading that ;):p
If the cable can carry the current needed for the original filament side light, it's going to be able to cope with the equivalent LED.

Yeah, you would do!
They ain't so lenient over here as they is back in blighty. (I is in the Tarn at the mo.)
Mind you I got a ticket for 33 in a 30 in Dorset, so not even sure about that. The "Speed awareness " course said they give you a 10% "discount" but obvs not in my case!
But in Frogland they have all shapes and sizes of static camera as well as the plods with the fancy binoculars!
Safest to set the cruise control to just under the limit!

Thanks for that what my concern was the wire from the truckmans is very heavy duty
What constitutes heavy duty? It might be that cheap Chinese wire with hardly any copper and a thick sheath...

The load is going to be less than 5W on the LED sidelight so don't worry about it. If you are concerned get a meter across it while running in sidelight mode and measure the current or read the spec on the box/casing, it will no doubt have the wattage marked on it

What happens if you don't pay the French ticket? Assuming not an on the spot fine.
Got the fine in the post thay give dvla your reg and vehicle typ dvla give them your address l don't think you can be prosecuted for not paying in the UK but your reg would be on the red list if in France and the fine would have increased ten fold

American lights will take a meter reading as thay have two led plus the existing side light

Not Werth the aggro l was in the wrong and paid the 45 EUR for the 3 miles over.
They have dropped the national speed limit from 90 to 80 kph.
