leaky 300tdi

Hi all
Just got my self a bargin disco 300tdi brought with poss head gasket gone,done all normal checks no milky stuff on filler cap no oil in water,there is a leak round water pump gasket though and geting no heat in the cab,
any ideas welcome

In my limited experience it sounds like your low on water. The heater take off is at the top of the engine and is therefore the first to be starved.
You need to do as I am doing and look for the route cause for the lack of water. Mine seems to run ok for a week then suddenly overheat. Water level in the tank is fine but when you open up the rad the systems empty.

Search for p gasket
Also 300 needs filling up in a certain way to avoid air locks
