LCD dead pixels & ribbon cable

Hi,

I've seen some places on t'web selling ribbon cables as a solution to dead pixels on the lcd display.

Is the ribbon cable likely to be the problem? Or is it more likely that a more extensive repair \ replacement is needed.

Usually the ribbon cables give up on both the stereo and dash screens.
Not a DIY job - let the professionals do it

BMW pixel fix

Search it on google

A couple of company's also do them on eBay

may be worth while there doing it to get the LED upgrade as shown in this websites pics. it looks the bollocks
