Hi Guys . looking around the site and theres plenty of posts about converting 90/110 TD to TDI .

I am currently converting a 1985 petrol to a 200TDI Auto .

Stripped the engine out of the 90 last week and this week will be stripping my donor disco engine and box .

Question is what mounts do i use for the tdi engine and auto box in my 90 petrol landrover . also can I use the landrovers petrol fuel tank .

Thank in advance Dan

use gear box mounts of disco will bolt to your existing holes in your chassis use these to locate engine mounts ,fuel tank okay but may need return but is spare opening on tank,

Just discovered my donor discovery is a 300 tdi auto not 200 . had a quick look at the mounts and they are totally different than the petrol the auto box sits on mounts that are part of the cross member . the mounting holes are different than the 90"s chassis. also the disco cross member is slightly wider .

Any ideas on best approach . i am thinking shorten width of disco cross member and re-drill landy chassy to accommodate . but would like an easier fix .

Thanks Dan

cross member will bolt on to your existing holes but you will need to grind a bit away were crossmember touches seat box brackets use rear most of 10mm bolt holes for old crossmember
