Hi everyone, got a fuel issue with my Discovery TD5, I've got no power going to the pump, the earth is fine, but there's no power, R1 relay is ok, and the 30 amp fuse is OK, any ideas on what else to look at?

Hello, this might seem a bit silly, but have you checked if the ECU is free of oil?

Hi remove the relay and bridge the perpendiculat cavities in the fusebox with a piece of wire then measure again for voltage at the pump's plug:
1. if this way you get voltage there is a management or wiring issue on the relay coil's circuit
2. if no voltage that way the problem is on the power feed circuit and check for voltage in C0376 where the feed comes from the fusebox and from there to the pump

according to the results we'll speak again

Hi, thank you for your comment, we've since found that there's a broken (black) wire coming from the fuel pressure switch, have tested all the relays and fuses, plus had pump running when tested with a power probe, do you know if the black wire coming from the fuel pressure switch is a permanent ground

Having tested the relays with a power probe, we found R9 isn't getting power to it, if we push power though with the probe, the pump engages, so do you know what powers R9
R9 is the main relay, it is disabled if the inertia switch is triggered or that circuit interrupted, push the inertia switch first and if no joy unplug it and bridge the wires, make sure that fuse F13 is not blown first
 
Thanks for your comment have been all through that, only thing we are struggling with is what powers R9, the inertia switch is fine and working
 
R9 is powered by the ECU on the coil's earth path as long as it's not immobilised and the coil gets power through the inertia switch
