just bbought on ebay a 1974 land rover carawagon, basically its a 109" that was fitted out as a camper with push up top, needs a bit of work on bulkhead but should be a nice summer project for me, i was told that these are quite rare now van anyone confirm that

piccies to comfirm it's genuine though there is a carawagon forum. that will probably be able to give you the chassis numbers of all the carawagaon and the number of rivets used in each one.

if it's genuine and in very good condition they do fetch a couple of grand.

If its the same one I looked at I'd have paid 3 times that and still been happy, the geyser wanted nearly 3 grand.
Either not the same one or he's realised he wasnt gonna get in.
Sounds like you did a good deal there.
What kind of work does it need?

as stated bulkhead have got another one to replace it, i dont know how bad or good the pop up roof is till i get it delivered sometime this week, engines got bits missing chassis has been welded and done to perfection, so just puttimg wings back on, bulkhead, and a respray

I bought the other carawagon on that december Ebay. I have the same problem of rebuilding the pop-up. maybe we should talk.
