lambda sensors

Hi,
I was getting a slight fuelling glitch at 40mph in top and I had a Lambda fault code , no signal received bank 1 and bank 2. It was suggested that I had a 'lazy' lambda, as the fault was intermittent
I bought 2 off fleabay used for 40 squid the pair, they were meant to be off a 2002 v8 . I have a 2000 v8.
When i went to change them today the connecters were different. Male on the 'new' ones and female on the fitted ones???? the sensors looked right , just the connectors.
Also I thought that the d2 had 4 sensors , 2 pre cat and 2 after. I can only see the 2 pre cat(I'm assuming that they are cats?) on the down pipes in the engine bay.

I would be grateful if anyone can shed any light.

the guy on fleabay said they came from an 02 v8 , is there much difference?? I didnt think the engine changed much apart from a capacity hike to 4.4???
jiginc was £120 for the pair or one?

B. o B does it affect emission for the mot if I de cat? i assume its just replacing the pipes?

The part number I gave you was for all 4.0 ltr engines regardless of year.

They are not the same as the 3.9 engine as this is a very different engine management system.

As you say the plugs are female oblong with four wires two white one black and one gray. (this is from the actual sensors)

The rear sensors on the NAS engine are square but still female.

The Disco 1 plugs were round with just three wires.

£120 was for the two.

ordered this afternoon and the guy off fleabay is going to take them back.
weird tho , he said they came off an 02 'test' discovery???
he did suggest swapping the connectors but I declined
