L322 - quick wheel/wheel nuts question please

Currently got a 2003 TD6 with 20" alloys on, and the wheel nuts are flat faced (the bit that presses against the wheel in the nut recess.

Just got a set of alloys from eBay and not sure if I got the right wheel nuts for them? Heard there are 2 types, are the other type tapered for when they go in the hole on the wheel? was half expecting the holes on the wheels to be tapered as well?

Had a quick scan on eBay for l322 wheel nuts, and looks as though the newer nut style are slightly tapered at the end but have a thicker outside diameter, which I'm assuming I need for my wheels?
