L322 air suspension

Hi, L322, 2006 Vogue.
if the rear airbags are deflated via the valve in the rear wheel arch does it affect the front airbags ?

And am I right in saying once up on stands and being left on stands to manually lock the doors then disconnect the battery so the suspension doesn't try and compensate itself...... thanks.

Am trying to start the process of the following......
Rear subframe off and re-bush, de-rust and clean/treat/paint all parts.
All Brake pipes.
Air tank replacement.
Treat surface rust on arches. Sills are all good, going to clean and treat/waxoil.

Doesn't it have a relay you can pull, as the p38 does? I've found it quite handy

There is a relay for compressor in the rear relay box.
Put it in access first in case on any small leaks over a period on the fronts.

OPERATION
Power Distribution
Feed from the positive battery terminal (C0192) is supplied to fusible link 5 and fuse 57 of the passenger compartment fuse box (C0632) on an R wire. Fuse 57 (C0582) provides a constant battery feed to the air suspension ECU (C2030) on an RN wire. The air suspension ECU (C2030) is earthed on an N wire.
Fusible link 5 (C0588) is connected to fuse 18 of the rear fuse box (C2024) by an R wire. Fuse 18 provides a constant battery feed to the air suspension relay, which is also located in the rear fuse box.

Rear hatch open on the P38 freezes the suspension, not sure if it does the same on the L322.

Thanks all, up to now the suspension has stayed up and its not moved while trying to jack up and make safe. Battery is disconnected now to so will see what happens. Got it on blocks at the back and will have stands under front incase of the front lowering.

Just wondered to if the rear bags are disconnected would it affect the whole system

Not on l322 but a door on first catch does until its shut then suspension will operate as normal.

Just replaced off side front strut with front up on stands and there was no movement of either the near side front or the rear air bags when the right was disconnected so you should be able to take off the rears without the front bags dropping. It is possible that you could get some leakage if it’s all in the air for several days though.
Let us know how it goes and I may do the same on mine.

Yes will do, thats good to know, it will be on blocks for a good few weeks if not months.......

I wish it was magic........ it could then fix itself....

Disconnected battery yesterday then this morning realised that I need to take it out of park.... doh.

I was there too.
Fitting new battery.
Disconnect as per procedure, then guess where the new battery is

...... in the boot

If you lift up the gear change panel from the rear there is a black lever type thing bottom of lever right hand side of it, lift that up and gear lever can be moved to any position.

iv just done all this on my 2003.
Used inpa and lowered the axles onto bumpstops before jacking up the back end and just got on with it.
Left door ajar while jacking rear end up then closed it.
Never disconnected battery or anything.
Had no issues
