Kwik-Fit Brakes

I've just seen an advert on TV for Kwik-Fit offering free replacement brake pads or shoes for life, as long as you own the car, if they supply and fit brake pads or shoes.
Well, I can kill a set of brake shoes in a weekend on the Landy, I'm always changing them.
Has anybody any experience of this guarantee?

There's probably a stupid clause somewhere that says they have to supply new discs etc along with them.

Why not find out? whats the worst yu can loose? A set of brakes from KF?

I wonder what quality the parts are.

Can't be worse than ****part.

Don't really care how they're fitted, I can fix that, more thinking only ever have to by one set forever.

I've just done them, but I'm thinking I'll give them a go next time, if they're not stupid price.

you will most likely find they are uni-part bits which are who ever gives them the best deal, but i would put money on there being a get out clause where it is only modern cars that are covered by it

Don't know about the brakes warranty but I've got a lifetime warranty on my complete exhaust which I got about 13 years ago. Still got the same car, certainly causes a bit of merryment when I go in to have all the rubbers replaced every couple of years. To be fair to them I've never had any problems getting the exhaust replaced as and when necessary, could be due a rear section shortly.
I just don't think they expect people to keep cars long enough for the warranty to be any use.

They will probabaly be very strict on things like sticking callipers and the amount of wear on a disc, which they will probabaly charge a lot to replace

now then, i bet they have some sort of fair wear tear thing going, and off roading wont be one of them ,chust a hunch.
