knock from rear (suspension related, nothing to do with drive or diff!!)

Hullo,

My old girl seems to be developing an occasional very slight knock from the rear n/s wheel when going over some bumps. (X reg TD4 SWB)

Before anyone says rear diff mounts, it isn't! I've had that before and fixed and this is defo coming from the rear corner.

Pretty sure it's not hub related too, sounds more suspension like.

Of course it could be many things I guess but does anyone have a checklist I could work my way through?

could be the suspension buses, get a bar in and try to move them (carefully) to check for movement

typical driven 50 miles to work and back today and not a single knock!

I'll take a look anyway, if there was a knock then there's a reason for it!

it could be you suspenion leg more than likely

Have you checked the mountings for the rear subframe? I have known the mountings to have failed.
