keycode lockout problem

I completely understand that Rick.. If someone wants me to unlock/reset a BECM then I will, and I will do what I can to help them with issues they have.

If there is an unsolvable issue that I can't help with, or I am away and not home to even offer help, then you are actually the first person (I presume you are Callrova?) that I tell people to go to as to my knowledge you are the only person I know of who seems to have the skills/knowledge/equipment to actually fix issues down to a component and coding level.

Incidentally, the OP told me he drove the vehicle and inna different location he locked the vehicle with the key, and the alarm didn't beep like it did when he was at home. The FOB still didnt sync, and I haven't heard any more since then.

I have also been meaning to give you a call at some point (though I am always away for work it seems!) As I have a few BECM logic boards that I have tested and marked up as having issue that I wanted to talk to you about regarding whether they are fixable/if its worth actually getting them repaired. Maybe when I'm back from this trip as I've got a few weeks off you'll get a phone call.... I'll also recommend the OP send his BECM to you to get checked out if/when he is in contact with me again.

Hi Marty,

Logic boards are always worth fixing. Although trying to investigate & repair single problems is the difficult part, so we just end up replacing most components on them in a production line. We probably have approx 500 logic boards as we had a clear out a couple of months ago.
Keep in mind, that tired, weak or leaking components can alarm a becm, & this is difficult to investigate. So a lot of these common problemsome components get replaced as standard on any locked out becm. These are the problems that cause battery drain or the becm not going to sleep & door lock motor burn out etc.
We also do Discovery 2 BCU's, Unlock, mileage clear, repair etc. If you think Becm's are difficult, these bcu's, for what they are, really do test you.
