Don't use a bottle jack. You need a proper hydraulic jack suitable for a 4X4. Most car jacks do not have enough lift height for a Freelander.
so you wunt use one on a Freelander?bottle jacks arent unsuitable on discos ,defenders, rrc and p38,ground clearance is greater and they hav solied axles and chassis
I have and it works ok
but a trolley jack is better
come on please singvogel let me know how to get a free copy of the om
Cheers guys my mistake it's a trolley jack
Most cheap trolley jacks are meant for cars and don't have enough lift, used at the front of a Freelander they don't lift the front wheels off the ground.
A good 4x4 trolley jack is so much better.
thanks singvogel I will try again
