Is this normal or should there be a gaitor

Well i know why it's called a discovery now i have made a few so far don't like any of them lol
Anyway after discovering the abs bulb was removed i started looking for these wheel sensor things what i want to know is if this is normal or should there be a gaitor protecting this bit

You can get a rubber or leather "boot" to cover the swivel housings however most think that they just hold water and grit and are more trouble than they are worth. I had some on an S111 a few years ago but the motor was nicked before I had chance to make a judgement. I've not had them on any Landy since.

just getting suspicious about what else is wrong with it had it 5 days and every day a new discovery, so far 9 holes (advertised as solid discovery with mot no advisories) ABS light removed and not working back door now wont open speedo needs a bash if you want to know how fast you are going water running down windscreen the list goes on i can learn to fix most of it but the ABS has me stumped so far light is on now i stuck bulb back in.
legal letter on it's way to seller tomorrow morning but he has a reputation on here already for fobbing people off but this time he has broken several laws (road traffic act, sale of goods act and Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts) so far
I can feel a watchdog buying a 4x4 for winter special coming on lol

This will last for at least a couple months, but will mellow out. Slowly.
