Hi all
I posted a thread yesterday " turbo question" and had lot's of useful help.
The outcome is that I am getting diesel dripping through the boost pressure pipe into the turbo and then into the inlet manifold.
This is what causes my 2.5 19j engine to rev and smoke after idling and then pulling away again.
Fair enough then, so I get the Haynes manual out 4.11 fuel emissions and control systems and look at the diagram 11.38 if this is not a missprint then my pipes are connected in the reverse order ie: fuel leak off pipe is connected to banjo 2 and boost pressure pipe to banjo 1.
Is there anyone with a 19j 2.5 td who can look under the bonnet and check this out for me.
If this is right can I just switch these banjo nuts and pipes over?.
If I took the gamble and just did this anyway could I do any damage?.

Hope this is written in a way that is not too confusing

Just an addition to this thread.
I switched the pipes around and there is no difference at all.
The pipes come off a unit at the side of my diesel pump. I know they should not be pushing diesel up to the turbo.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
What does this unit do ?
Can it be replaced or repaired ?
Or can anyone explain roughly what this unit is and what it does.
I would be so gratefull as it's doing my head in.
Thank
