Hi guys does any one know of anything that you can buy to be able to plug your ipod into the becker nav/radio and keep your cd changer hooked up aswell.

Not sure about your exact set up but you can buy a gadget that plugs into your iPod and then resends it as a radio signal to a frequency that you just dial your radio to. I have used one for years successfully - bought it on eBay - plenty of variations available for just a few pounds.

this is the ipod kit - it will give you control over your iphone too using the steering controls ! you will loose your cd changer tho.

why do you want your cd changer hooked up too if you could have thousands of songs on your ipod instead ???

just wanted the cd pluged in as a backup

the icd box plugs into the the cable that you would disconnect from the cd changer

So it would hopefully mean no messing about removing the stereo.

yea as far as i know - no need to remove stereo - just got to get to the connections on your cd changer. unsure how easy that is on a freelander but its easier to get at my head unit then my cd changer in the range rover ! lol

Old thread I know but for those (like me) that found InCarIpod seem to have gone out of business, just to confirm that a Connects 2 CTALRIPOD005 does the same thing and steering wheel controls etc. work fine. It is listed for Disco II but works fine with P38 and Alpine HU.

Connects2 don't do much stuff for the Becker head unit anymore.

I removed my head unit as the Becker Sat Nav is pants, with a Kenwood KDC74BT but it took a while to find a lead so I could carry on using the steering wheel controls.

The only company I could find was called In Car Tech. They were very helpful and supplied the correct leads which they make.

Works great. I can have iPod control via a front USB or rear USB lead or even connect via a 3.5mm aux. or BT audio stream. Great piece of kit which also has DAB.
