Hi all

I'm trying to devise a way to carry surfboards inside for defender 90 hard top.
I'm thinking of having two straps accross the width of the car front and back of the roof (inside) so my question is, any thoughts about how to go about this without too much messing with the car.
Was thinking 4 hooks and a bungie cable thingy from hook to hook creating a hammock strap type thing to slide the boards into, Any thoughts how to attatch the hooks- It has a head liner.
Any other suggestions be great too.
Thanks

I thought that was a joke / taking the mock out of me at first... But now I think about it it's a really good idea, brilliant. Will look into that- thanks.
Anyone else?

The curtain pole idea is a good one; if you support the boards via bungies they will bounce up and down during driving, so having a rigid support underneath them is necessary. Assume boards would go on top of poles with bungies strapping them down tight.

Yes that's right.
Or wandered about first idea maybe not using bungie cord but strapping to roof somehow but don't know what to fix it too?!

Ha ha...we are on the same page at least!!
Been in the Landy trying to work it out, just wander if roofs quite high enough, as the front seat the roof slopes down doesn't it :-/
