Evening all.
I've been neglecting my defender for a while as I've been off studying but now I'm back and it's time to get some work done on the old girl. First thing i did was pull out the old 2.5td which had blown it's head gasket and install a disco 200tdi. My problem is regarding the intercooler. Neither the rad or intercooler which came with the engine was in great shap. My old TD rad on the other hand is almost brand new so I have decided to keep using it. Now I have to fit an intercooler somewhere else and I was thinking using one from a TD5 but then I came across TD4 intercoolers which seem to have the in/out pipes in a great position to go underneath my TD rad. My question is has anyone fitted a TD4 intercooler to a 200tdi or can anyone think of a reason why it wouldn't work?
