Good afternoon all.
The long running problem i have with the instrument illumination has taken a turn for the worst. They have now stopped working all together.
A quick recap.
Last October the instrument lighting started to blow no3 fuse. Now on this 52 plate motor, the fuse legend has a yellow marker with a book on it. I guess that means consult manual. I sould if i could find it!. All the other lighting fuses are fine. The no3 fuse has not blown this time so suspect a broken wire. So! Does anyone have a clue as to which colour wire on the binacle runs the lights? Am now going to run a cable straight to them & be done with it.

From the fusebox it should be a red/orange wire hardwired untill header C0759 - 9 where it splits to all the dash illumination, iirc i gave you the electrical library so see connector views identify that header behind the instrument pack and if you dont find the culprit there cut that red/orange wire and give it an ignition feed through a 10A fuse from the thick yellow wire which comes from the ignition switch(C0028-5) ...providing at least the rest of the circuit is in accordance with the diagrams as the fusebox isnt

Nice one!
Will have a go at this at the weekend. Would dearly like to know what Fuse3 does though.... May be a fault there that started the whole saga off...

It seems that F3 on those modells is for dash illumination though just that it doesnt appear so in the diagrams...on a second thought you better give feed from a side light feed though
