Any ideas who i can try for insurance for my 23yr old son, he wants to buy a 90 (mine) nobody seems to want to touch him as he's under 25. I've tried PBest, Lancaster they wanted to know the difference between a roll bar and a bull bar !! and flux are going to ring me back (with a stupid quote proberly) NFU would only ins him as a second driver for 15hundred quid !!
There must be someone insuring under 25s

The 90s been modified, ain't they all?

HELP:mad::mad::mad:PRETTY PLEASE

give me strength..

nearly as bad as whats the biggest tyres I can fit on my landy[/quot

And what are the biggest tyres i can fit???:D

Thought i'd ask on the ins as until recently i had no prob adding him to my ins for short periods and now i can't, thought perhaps things had changed recently.

AND when did the government announce that vehicles registered before 1960 did not need an MOT:confused:

Bell insured me fully comp on my 90 for £600 with £100 excess. I'm 21 with 3 years NCB on daily drive.

It's all about where you are and how often you drive, that's all that really matters. If you're on the road more, you're more of a risk.

Be careful of big insurance companies trying to stiff you with a fronting policy, if you want a reasonable price he's going to have to be main driver.

shouldn't have a problem gettin yer own policy - i'm 23 with 1 years NCB no claims and 6 points that have expired but I still have to declare for another year

Insured on a modified disco 300tdi yet I can't get on my ol mans jag OR his identical but unmodified disco as a named driver... madness as the insurance for both is cheaper if I have my own policy than my disco's

I've tried PBest

Peter Best - Don't waste your time - robbing bastards!!:mad::mad:

I went to these in 2005 with 15 years NCB. This September I decided to shop about for a better price and found out that I was on a policy with no NCB - more to the point my previous 15 years were "spent". I checked all of my paperwork, no evidence whatsoever to confirm this.

21 years down the ****ter!:mad::mad:

Some insurance companies reconise NCB even though it's technically not. I was given an extra years NCB on my Saab because I was named driver on a policy ages ago that did not accrue NCB.

As long as you have proof, I can't see it being much of a problem.

I know someone else that happened to, my lad has no NCB so it don't matter to him but thats a real bummer

£1,500 is not a lot to pay.

I am 28, when I was 18 I paid £1,800 for a group 1(!!!) fiat panda 4x4.

Some things you just have to bite the bulllet with..
